Able Planet NC350BC Review

First, I would like to think Michael from Able Planet for setting me up with this review sample so if you want to check out all of Able Planets products, click HERE. The unit I will be reviewing is the NC350BC Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. The first thing you will notice out of the box is the carrying case, it is a very nice zip up hard case with an Able Planet logo on the front. When I first took these out of the box and hooked them up I would have rated the sound quality at a 7.5, the bass was not to heavy, so this may not be the headphone if you are looking for something extremely bass heavy. It provides a more balanced sound produced by the award winning Linx Audio Technology. Then I turned on the noise cancellation without music, and it did a decent job at cancelling out background noise. Then I tried playing the music and turning on the noise cancellation at the same time, at that point i would rate the sound quality at about 9 out of 10, the sound is louder of course when the noise cancelling is on, but also produced an even more clear and crisp sound. Just as Able Planet claims, these produce the "live experience" sound that makes you feel like you are actually there. These are great for people who work in noisy areas, or people who travel. ATR-2100 REVIEW

As always I would like to start out by giving a big thanks to Karen, from Audio Technica for sending this unit out for me to review, to check out all of Audio Technicas great products click HERE. This will be by first microphone review on my blog, but I do know enough about microphones to be comfortable doing a review on it. The unit I am reviewing is the ATR-2100 Handheld dynamic USB output microphone. What you will get is the microphone, a nice stand for the microphone, USB cord, and XLR cord. The stand works great, but isnt very flexible, it does angle up and down but the legs on the stand can only hold the weight of the microphone in one position. The microphone has a standard look to it, with the USB output, and XLR analog output on the bottom of the mic, as well as the headphone jack, and volume control. The mic has a pop filter, or wind screen inside, so purchasing a seperate filter probably won't be necessary for use by most. Lastly on the microphone you will find the on/off button on the side. The sound quality is relatively clear, and crisp, to head a sample check out my ATH-PRO700MK2 review HERE,I used my ATR-2100 to do the voice over. The sound is pretty good for the MSRP of $79.99. This is a great microphone for voice overs, podcasts, etc. but may not be the best quality for stuio recordings. ATH-PRO700MK2 Review

As always, I would like to start off by saying thank you to Karen, from Audio Technica for sending this unit out for me to review, so go check out Audio Technicas stuff HERE. The PRO700MK2 are one of Audio Technicas top DJ style headphones, and for good reason. These are honestly the sturdiest DJ headphones i have ever owned. Generally with a DJ headphone you will get a headphone with a ton of swivel features and a very flexible, but extremely weak, but it will eventually break if you actually use them to "DJ". These are plastic, but a very strong and thick plastic, but they still have just as many swivel features, and are just as flexible as most DJ headphones I have ever used. The headband is really comfortable but the EarPads drove me crazy, the part that lies on the head is very comfortable, but the part that lies on your ear is paper thin, and i could literally feel the driver on my ear. To fix the problem i replaced it with my ATH-M50 pads and have had no more problems sicne then. These headphones do have a tighter feel, as do most DJ headphones, but not enough that it bothered me. The sound on these is ridiculous, the bass is really deep, without being overpowered and drowning out the highs and mids like some headphones (BEATS) these are really crisp, and clear all the way around, including the highs, and mids. These are a really good set of headphones and i would DEFINITELY recommend them, and can assure they will meet all of your DJ needs. To check out all of the details on the ATH-PRO700MK2 click HERE.

Marshall Majors Review

First of all i would like to think Valerie from Zound Industries for sending me these out to review, so check out the awesome products from Zound, they have tons of great headphones. Just like the other headphones i have reviewed from Zound these are extremely unique, in a good way. These give off a classic rock sort of look, with a nice black leather headband, classic slider adjuster, a brown interior leather, and gold plating with marshall in scripted in them. Theses are the first ON-EAR headphones i have reviewed, but i do have some experience with beats studio, and will go ahead and say these are better, with these you will actually get what you pay for. These retail at around $119.00 on the Marshall Headphones website, and i would say they are worth it. The are extremely small when collapsed which i found very convenient on several occasions. These are also very comfortable, once you get the band stretched, at first they were a little tight on my head, but i left them stretched overnight and haven't had anymore problems with them since. These are not the best headphones for hip-hop, rap etc, i found them to sound best with rock, classical, pop, and music of that genre, because these are a balanced headphone, which is not as bass heavy as most hip-hop headphones. Overall these are the best ON-EAR headphones i currently, and at $119.00, it is hard to find a better headphone, so check out the Marshall Major and Click Here.

URBANEARS Medis Review

I would like to thank Valerie, the U.S. rep for Zound Industries for sending me these samples out to review, without her this review would not be possible. The unit I will be reviewing is the Medis model from urban ears. The first thing that I noticed about the Medis is that these are not your "ordinary" in ear headphone, the design is called ear click, it features 4 different sized pads, which can be placed on the tip of the headphone, and gives them a more snug and stationery fit by using the pad to slide into the grooves of your ear. I really loved this design and didn't have to constantly worry about the headphones falling out. The fabric cord is tangle resistant, and is microphone/remote compatible. The drivers are 15.4 mm, which is a little bit larger than most in ear headphones, and once you hear these you will think the driver is bigger than that. Although I don't review very many in ear headphones, I have listened to a ton of them in my life and have never been blown away by a pair. I wasn't blow away with the sound of these either, but i was impressed. The specs don't blow me away either. The reason I believe these do sound better than most in hear headphones is because of their superior fit. Once you find the right sized Ear Click pad it feels like these headphones are custom made for you, giving you the perfect placement of the speaker to create a very nice sound (for in ear headphones). These headphones are all about style, coming in over 20 colors you will be sure to find something that fits your taste. HiFiman HM-101 Review

     I would like to thing Ms.T, and Dr.Fang as well as all of the kind folks over at HiFiman for sending me this sound card to review, you guys need to check out their stuff, great audio products, and great customer service here is the link. The unit that I will be reviewing is the HM-101 Portable USB Sound Card, at first glance I thought that portable was an understatement, the sound card is the perfect size, at about the size of a box of matches, it is very easy to just throw in your pocket and take with you where ever you go. The sound card looks very sleek, with a nice black cover, and silver trim. This amazing little soundcard has a USB port on one side, and a line output, and headphone output on the other. So pretty much what this does for those of you who have never used a sound card is provide the power that your headphones need to run, your computer will already have one but an external sound card is usually a much better sound. When I first plugged this in I had to take a glance over my should, because the sound was so much better I felt like I was actually at a concert, the bass, mids, and highs were much crisper than without. I tried several different headphones but even with the lowest quality headphone, the HiFiman HM-100 only made it better, it basically turned a pair of $20 headphones into a $50 pair of headphones. Along with the amazing crisp sound that the HM-101 provides, you will also have the ability to almost double the max volume of your headphones, and still maintain a good sound that will not become muddled no matter what your listening level. I have used many different sound cards and can honestly say this is one of the best I have used.  I really recommend this product to anyone who wants to improve their sound quality, and to see ALL the specs on this great product check out the full details link.

Ultimate Ears 100 Review

First of all i want to give a big shout out to Ultimate Ears and Logitech for making this review possible for sending me out a review sample go check them out here. The unit i will be reviewing is the ultimate ears in ear buds, they retail for 19.99 and that is really what you get when it is all said and done. Nothing about these headphones really surprised me, the packaging include the headphones with 2 ear buds already in place as well as additional 6 ear pieces. The fit is average, I constantly noticed one would be falling out which is the problem with most "cheap" headphones. The only thing that stuck out about these was the treble was very nice, and stayed clear up to pretty high volumes. All in all, these are $20 headphones to better to worse exactly what you would expect, i do think ultimate ears has better products to offer but this just wasnt the one to check out the rest of there stuff click the link.

Trexta Ipod Case Review

First of all i want  to send a big thanks to the guys at Trexta for sending me this review sample, you guys should check out there stuff they have a large selections of cases and pouches for smartphone's, MP3 players, and laptops. The unit I received was the snap on racing series case for the iPod touch 2nd Generation, it came in a nice checkered flag package with a leather sample on the front. The case is completely padded on the back with a nice leather, with 2 nicely placed vents on the back, you can definitely tell that this leather will protect your iPod from anything just after taking a look at it. The inside of the case is just as nice as the outside, it features a nice mate black coating that is completely smooth to protect the back of your iPod from scratches. I do have one dislike about this item, as with any glossy finish the fingerprint marks can add up in a hurry and take away from the real style of the case. Tritton AX720 Review

About a month ago i picked up some Tritton AX720's, at first i really liked them, but upon wearing them for a while it became rather uncomfortable after about 1 hour of using them, that was the first problem. As for the sound quality these really go above and beyond for a gaming headset making it possible to hear footsteps of your enemy, relatively easily. As for communication, another BIG thumbs down the mic works about half the time and is staticy when it does work, just like my AX180's did, overall i would say these headphones are NOT worth the 129.99 due to the lack of communication, and how uncomfortable they are, but if you want you can check them out  Here.

ATH-M50 Review

Last week i received a pair of the Audio Technica M50 Studio Headphones for my birthday, so i decided to do a review on them. The first thing i noticed when i got them out of the box was how sturdy they felt compared to studio headphones i have owned in the past. Included in the box is a nice leather pouch to store them in, and a 1/4 screw on adapter. The ear cups have a 180° swivel feature and the cups fold up into a space saving mode to slide right into the leather pouch. The headphones are EXTREMELY comfortable i was worried about this after reading other reviews saying they were hard to break in but they were immediately comfortable. As for the sound quality i am very happy the separation of the different tones and instruments is very good and the bass is nice......REALLY NICE, but not overbearing. These can be turned up to an ear drum bursting level or at your average level and still sounds great. These are in my opinion the best headphones available for the price, so if you are looking for a great sounding headphone, as well as an affordable headphone, you cant go wrong with the ATH-M50.
